About the role
We're looking for a Community & Content Manager to lead how Wedeyoutside shows up online and engages with its community.
You'll shape our voice across social media, keep our audience informed about the latest events, experiences, and cultural moments, and build meaningful relationships with the people who use and love WDO. From attending events and creating content on the ground to managing conversations online, you'll help make Wedeyoutside the go-to platform for discovering what's happening.
This role blends content creation, storytelling, social media management, and community building.
Responsibilities
• Plan, create, and publish engaging content across WDO's social media platforms.
• Attend events, experiences, launches, and community gatherings to capture and share real-time content.
• Shape and maintain a consistent brand voice across all digital channels.
• Develop and manage monthly content calendars.
• Discover and feature creators, businesses, events, experiences, and cultural stories worth sharing.
• Promote new platform features, newsletters, campaigns, and partnerships.
• Engage with our community by responding to comments, messages, and conversations across platforms.
• Build relationships with creators, organizers, and community leaders to encourage collaboration and user-generated content.
• Monitor trends, audience insights, and platform performance to inform future content.
• Work closely with the production, editorial, and growth teams to execute campaigns and storytelling initiatives.
Requirements
• Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Experience creating engaging social-first content.
• Ability to identify trends and react quickly with relevant content.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Comfortable attending events during evenings or weekends when needed.
• Passion for culture, events, entertainment, lifestyle, and community.
Nice to have
• Experience in community management or social media management.
• Basic photography or videography skills.
• Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
• Understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
• Existing knowledge of Ghana's creative and entertainment ecosystem.
Success in this role
Within your first 6–12 months, you'll aim to:
• Establish a recognizable and consistent WDO voice across all social platforms.
• Grow engagement, followers, and community participation.
• Deliver timely coverage of major events and cultural moments.
• Build recurring content series that audiences actively follow.
• Increase traffic from social media to the Wedeyoutside platform.
• Foster an engaged community that contributes reviews, recommendations, and conversations around culture and experiences.
